Hertz in Nuremberg
You will find the city of Nuremberg in central southern Germany, just over 100 miles north of Munich and 275 miles south west of Berlin. It stands on the Pegnitz River and the busy Rhine-Main- Danube Canal. If you rent a car in Nuremberg you will discover it is a hub for several important motorways like the A3, A6 and A9 and trunk roads, so driving in any direction is usually easy. These major roads form a loose outer ring road round the city to help drivers avoid the worst of the jams. Within that there is a smaller inner ring road to help you drive around the different city areas.
The old town centre and most of the attractions are found within the inner ring road. But if you have a rental car in Nuremberg you will be able to explore the sights further afield too, like the Tiergarten Zoo and Industrial Museum to the east, and the Museum of German Radio and TV to the west. Back in the city centre, look out for top visitor attractions like the acclaimed Toy Museum and the Handwerkerhof medieval shopping area, which are both scenic areas full of traditional craft shops and rustic restaurants.
