Hertz in Lucerne
Lucerne is in the central German-speaking part of Switzerland and has long been a popular destination, even Queen Victoria regularly visited in the 19th century.
Lucerne's position by the lake and astride the river Reuss means that the town has many bridges, the most famous of which is the wooden Chapel Bridge said to be the oldest of its kind in Europe. It almost got destroyed by fire in 1993 but has since been completely restored.
