Hertz in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania, PA is one of USA’s most beautiful states, is home to the famed Route 6, hailed by National Geographic as one of America’s most scenic drives. Visitors are sure to experience true Pa travel if they rent a car to take a road trip and explore beautiful Pennsylvania.

Route 6 can be accessed through I-79, I-81 and I-84, so transportation and travel in Pa is supremely convenient. Nature is huge in Pennsylvania. Take a road trip down to Pennsylvania’s Pymatuning State Park. Located at Conneaut Lake, it’s one of the largest state parks in the commonwealth. Spanning 21122 acres, and home to the 17088 acre Pymatuning Reservoir, this park is sure to keep visitors in awe of the natural landscape in Pennsylvania. A popular pit stop during a road trip in Pennsylvania, Pymatuning has a fish hatchery, wildlife viewing areas and a learning centre for visitors, so travellers of all ages are catered for.

Another popular state park is Kinzua Bridge State Park, with its stunning panoramas, Specifically Kinzua Sky Walk, visitors can admire sprawling views of Kinzua Gorge. A perfect way to experience travel in Pa, visitors can also trek 560 feet into the gorge and look down through a glass floor into the valley. Best of all, admission is free.

Travellers are recommended to take their rental car and pop down to Pennsylvania’s Grand Canyon. Visit Leonard Harrison State Park or Colton Point State Park, and enjoy two different views of the gorge. Travel down to Pennsylvania’s New England-like town of Wellsboro afterwards. With its quaint lantern lit streets, Victorian mansions and small town green, it’s a welcoming sight to weary travellers ready to put their feet up for the night.

Hailed as the Niagara of Pennsylvania, Bushkill Falls is among the State’s most scenic attractions. A series of eight waterfalls, tucked deep in the woods of Pocono Mountains, this natural wonder is a refreshing pit stop for travellers on a road trip in Pennsylvania. Take your rental car down and enjoy Pennsylvanian nature. Very accessible through a network of hiking trails and bridges, there is also an indoor wildlife exhibit featuring native animals and Native American lifestyle, adding a spot of education into this Pennsylvanian road trip.

Travel in Pennsylvania is not complete without a visit to the Steamtown National Historic Site. Located in downtown Scranton near mile marker 332, this spot is very accessible given Pennsylvania’s convenient public transportation network. Steamtown showcases the steam era of America railroading, a truly pivotal part of Pennsylvanian history. Including a working rail yard, roundhouse and excursions to nearby towns, this park will be a historic treat for everyone.

A hit with tourists and locals, Wyalusing Rocks Scenic Overlook is also a perfect stopover during a road trip in Pennsylvania. This overlook in Bradford County is located 500 feet above Susquehanna River, and was used previously as a signaling point. Walking tours are available and will allow visitors to enjoy the scenic sights awaiting them.

Pennsylvania travel is very exciting with the state’s beautiful sights and sounds. Many of America’s beautiful natural wonders are located in the Keystone State, so it makes Pennsylvania a perfect place for a car rental and road trip.
